A New Sensation

It was only a few years ago when I bought a collar for my new puppy. I just received his dog license in the mail and thought that he's at that age when it was time for him to start wearing a collar, like most responsible dog owners would expect.

Little did I know just how difficult the task would be to get him to wear it.

As soon as I tried to put it on, he started jerking around like a wet fish and seemed to think that I was trying to kill him. It took a little more effort than I thought it would, but I finally got it on him. But, that didn't stop him from flopping around like a fish, whining about it, and constantly trying to pull it off.

I swear, it took a good five days before he accepted the collar and quit scratching at it. Even though it took some effort, he finally resolved himself that wearing the collar was in his own best interests, and that fighting against wearing it was a losing battle. With time, he didn't even know it was there.

So, it's because of this difficult experience of trying to get my puppy to wear a collar that I think that I understand why porn stars are so upset about being required to wear condoms.

They've been working so long without using condoms that it's a new and undesirable sensation.

Of course they're going to fight against it. But just like my puppy, in the long run they'll get used to it, and cum to love the protection condoms offer from those nasty and untreatable STDs caught on set.

But, don't just take my word for it. Listen to the porn industry healthcare representatives selling it.

  1. See what I mean? Australian rockers INXS are giving up touring after 35 years.

FOR fans of INXS there will be no overwhelming emotion, no note of tragedy or life passing in response to the band's decision to call it a day, for the mourning has been conducted, the farewells made.

  2. Although I sometimes joke around about condom use, it's a VERY serious topic. Believe me, if you don't use a condom every time you have sex, you're setting yourself up for a serious change of life.

  5. Saying an adult film company shirked new rules requiring performers to use condoms, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation lodged a complaint this week to test whether Los Angeles County officials will follow the letter of the law when it comes to unprotected sex in porn.

  6. Don't like the concept of condoms because you think they interfere with the pleasure of sex? Well then, you can bitch about it, or you can get paid to change it. Develop the Next Generation of Condom and win a $100,000.00 (and possibly up to $1,000,000.00) grant for your efforts.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is looking for a Next Generation Condom that significantly preserves or enhances pleasure, in order to improve uptake and regular use.

Additional concepts that might increase uptake include attributes that increase ease-of-use for male and female condoms, for example better packaging or designs that are easier to properly apply. In addition, attributes that address and overcome cultural barriers are also desired.

  7. Little did I know what was already going on behind the scenes in condom development. After reading Roxanne Palmer's post on Salon.com entitled, A brief history of the condom, I learned about an origami condom that's already been developed. Yes, origami.

Origami Condoms has developed, what I think is, a revolutionary approach to condom design. Take a look at their products, especially their female condom, and I think you'll agree that they're a company that knows how to "think inside of the box".

  8. See? Imagine what could have happened if this porn star decided not to inform anyone about her HIV status, or if her infection wasn't discovered quickly? There's a good reason why condoms should be used on set.

  9. There ya go. All I have to say is that you need to protect your rod daily every time you use it.

  10. "Since this isn’t the first case of HIV among the scantily clad actors of San Fernando, CA, Ms. Bay’s diagnosis demands we try again to get porn stars to practice safer sex. My guess is legal maneuvers will never do much to affect the sex lives of the nude and infamous, but if porn viewers could learn to have fun even with a condom on set there might be a hope."
